Social media was a factor in the breakup between One Direction member Liam Payne and girlfriend Danielle Peazer after Liam couldn’t take the nasty comments directed towards his girl on Twitter. Now the 19-year-old’s new girlfriend, Sophia Smith, is facing the same type of treatment by 1D fans who want to see Liam get back with Danielle.

“Payzers,” as they are called (a portmanteau of Payne and Peazer), have taken to Twitter to slam Liam’s newest relationship. The fans have been so adamant about their feelings that “Danielle” was trending worldwide on Twitter Tuesday morning, saying that the 22-year-old dancer was with Liam before he was famous.

A bunch of tweets slamming Liam’s new girlfriend spurred the One Direction member to fight back on Twitter, saying “f--- you” to his critics.

A number of users tweeted “Liam wanted Danielle in the movie because he still cares about her,” referring to 1D’s new concert film, “One Direction: This Is Us.”

One Twitter user even compared how Liam holds hands with Danielle and Sophia, and wrote “Danielle is better ok case dismissed.”

The criticism was too much for Liam to handle that he flipped on Twitter on Tuesday:
