Lily Collins Marries Charlie McDowell in 'Fairytale' Ceremony

Lily Collins married Charlie McDowell, a writer and director, in a romantic ceremony in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, over the weekend.

The “Emily in Paris” actress made the announcement on Instagram as she shared gorgeous pictures from her Sept. 4 wedding to McDowell. Collins walked down the aisle in a stunning long-sleeved embroidered high-necked Ralph Lauren gown and caped veil.

“What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start…” the 32-year-old actress captioned one of the photos Tuesday where she and McDowell are seen kissing in front of a gushing waterfall.

In another photo, the newlyweds embrace each other and share a sweet kiss with a forest setting in the background.

“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021, we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell,” she wrote in the caption.

“Never been happier,” she said in another picture showing the couple smiling happily.

McDowell, 38, also shared their wedding photo on his Instagram handle, saying: "I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I've ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins.”

Collins dated McDowell for over a year before announcing their engagement in September 2020.

On Sept. 26, 2020, the actress posted a gallery of photos of her engagement day in a similar outdoor setting. At the time, she also showed a photo of her simple but elegant engagement ring: a rose-cut diamond with a bezel setting and thin gold band.

“I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together...” Collins had captioned the series of photos.

Collins is the daughter of British music icon Phil Collins while McDowell is the son of actors Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen.

McDowell, who directed “The One I Love” and “The Discovery,” has previously dated Emilia Clarke and Rooney Mara. On the other hand, Collins was previously linked with Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Zac Efron, as per Page Six.
