Lily James Spotted Kissing Musician Michael Shuman Months After Dominic West Scandal

Lily James has been spotted kissing musician Michael Shuman months after her PDA scandal with married co-star Dominic West.

James, 31, made headlines last year after she was photographed kissing and cuddling West, who is married to landscape designer Catherine FitzGerald, in Italy around the time they were filming their miniseries "The Pursuit of Love." But she appears to have moved on from the scandal and has found love in a new man.

Photos published by Page Six showed James getting cozy with Shuman, bassist of the rock band Queen of the Stone Age, on Friday.

In the pictures, James is wearing a yellow winter jacket on top of her beige sweater, which she paired with black pants, brown shoes and a white animal winter hat. She was seen carrying bags in both hands as she headed to her car. Shuman, 35, walks behind her, carrying what appears to be a yoga mat and exercise equipment.

The pair is reportedly staying at the same boutique hotel in Suffolk, England, this weekend. They shared a smooch before she was taken to the set of her upcoming film, "What’s Love Got to Do With It?"

James was criticized after photos of her packing on PDA with West in Rome surfaced on social media sites back in October 2020. The two were photographed getting cozy on a scooter ride near the Spanish Steps and making out while dining at a restaurant. They reportedly also kissed while on their flight back to the U.K., Us Weekly reported.

West's wife was allegedly "horrified by the pictures." However, the married couple put on a united front and held a press conference outside their home after the PDA photos circulated. "I just want to say our marriage is strong and we are very much still together," read their statement.

James has yet to comment on the scandal.

Reports then surfaced claiming she and her then-married "Rebecca" leading man, Armie Hammer, flirted on set when they filmed their Netflix movie in 2019. The actor and his wife of a decade, Elizabeth Chambers, announced their split in July 2020.

At the time, some fans and netizens defended James when she appeared to bear the brunt of the criticism, pointing out that she was not the only one at fault.

"The narrative that's going right now is very misogynistic and shows a toxic double standard. It's all 'OMG Lily James flirted with a married man', and not about Hammer cheating on his wife. The tabloids want to paint her as a homewrecker and absolve him of any guilt whatsoever," one Twitter user wrote.

"Before the whole 'homewrecker' narrative gets going I'd just like to point out that it does indeed take 2 to tango... or go to Rome and canoodle in a very public airport," another wrote on Twitter. "1 part Dominic West + 1 part Lily James = Presumed Affair (assuming this isn't an open relationship deal)."
