Lindsay Lohan Lands New Role In ‘Sick Note’ Before ‘The Anti-Social Network’ Prank Series Finds A Home
Lindsay Lohan will be heading to television, but not in her previously announced prank series, “The Anti-Social Network.”
According to Deadline, the “Parent Trap” alum has been cast in the UK series “Sick Note” for Season 2. The British comedy also stars Rupert Grint, Nick Frost and Don Johnson. “Sick Note” will follow the life of Daniel Glass (Grint), an insurance rep who finds himself wrongly diagnosed with a terminal illness. Daniel will decide to keep his real condition to himself, and he is expected to share multiple scenes with Lohan’s character. The controversial actress will give life to the role of Daniel’s boss’ daughter.

The filming for “Sick Note” Season 1 will kick off in the fall, but even before its premiere, Sky 1 already picked up the comedy for Season 2, which is expected to premiere sometime next year, according to TV Line.
Just last month, Lohan expressed her desire to return to Hollywood and said that she misses acting. However, the “Mean Girls” star will return to television, but not exactly in the United States. While speaking with E! News at the Cannes’ amfAR Gala, Lohan said, “I think there’s a lot of noise that we deal with, so I kind of found peace in life working with children and helping other people that really interest me. I think it’s important for us to recognize that all of this stuff is fun, but you have to take time for you.”
Earlier this year, Lohan announced that she and her team are looking for a home for her prank series, “The Anti-Social Network.” According to E! News, Lohan went on a three-year hiatus from television and surprised her fans with a teaser for the reality TV show.
In “The Anti-Social Network,” Lohan will control other people’s social media accounts for 24 hours. The self-confessed social media savant will also give each of the unsuspecting contestants challenges that they have to complete in order to bring home a prize.
Unfortunately, no network has given Lohan’s reality show the green light yet. Lohan was also previously seen in Ashton Kutcher’s prank show for MTV, “Punk’d.”
