Lindsay Lohan Rejects 'Dancing With The Stars' Offer Despite 'Massive Debt'
Troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan rejected half a million dollars to appear on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” reports celebrity news site TMZ.
The 26-year-old actress was offered $550,000 to appear on the celebrity dance show, the site says.
The redheaded celebrity is trying to get her life back on track after being involved with the authorities numerous times throughout 2012, and she could reportedly really use the cash.
To pay her taxes, Lohan reportedly got a loan from another Hollywood trouble magnet, Charlie Sheen. FOX31 noted that Lohan owed hundreds of thousands in back taxes. She just filmed “The Canyons” with adult film star James Deen, but Lohan was only paid $100 per day for her work on the Bret Easton Ellis-written film, reports said.
"Sources close to Lindsay tell us the actress was made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season -- offers that maxed out at $550,000," TMZ said. "But Lindsay ... shut them down, telling friends she'd never consider doing reality TV."
Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson and Jerry Springer are just a few among the famous and infamous who have competed on the hit dance show. It’s not necessarily that Lohan believes she is above appearing on "DWTS," but that trying to put all her focus into her acting career.
Lifetime’s “Liz & Dick” was widely considered a flop and Lohan was reportedly difficult to work with on the set of “The Canyons,” demanding the entire crew strip down to their socks for her nude scene.
It seems like the celeb is doing better in the first month of the New Year, recently being linked to The Wanted’s Max George. However, their relationship has seemed to fizzle.
"She was good to party with, but there’s definitely not going to be any babies on the horizon," Cover Media quoted George. "She can party nearly as hard as we can."
"The Canyons" is opening in theaters sometime in 2013 with an undisclosed date.
