New anime titles will be simulcasting over various streaming platforms. The Summer 2020 anime list will also include series from the Spring 2020 season.
“One Piece,” and “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” continue to broadcast in the upcoming season. "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will be returning with new episodes from Sunday (July 5).
Here’s a list of Summer 2020 anime series
- “Deca-Dence” – Gadoll has become a major threat to humanity. After being pushed to extinction, humanity survives in a mobile fortress named Deca-Dence. The fortress is occupied by Gears, who are warriors, and Tankers, who are non-warriors. The series will start airing from July 8.
- “The God of High School” – This Crunchyroll Originals is based on the manhwa by Yongje Park. The story revolves around a high schooler named Jin Mori, who is a Taekwondo specialist. He wants to be the strongest high schooler and ends up participating in a tournament called God of High School. The series premieres Tuesday (July 6).
- “Rent-A-Girlfriend” – College student Kazuya Kinoshita is devastated after being dumped by his girlfriend. Kazuya decides to find a girlfriend on rent through a mobile app, My Anime List noted. His life change after he meets Chizuru Mizuhara from the app. The anime will debut July 11.
- “The Misfit of Demon King Academy” – After 2000 years, a demon is reincarnated. He joins an academy to train the future demon lords, but he is not fit to teach the disciples. The demon lord is tired of all the killings and wars and longs for a peaceful world. The series is scheduled to premiere Saturday (July 4).
- “Gibiate” – The year is 2030, and a virus has infected humans across the world. Infected people become monsters. Meanwhile, a pair of samurai and ninja emerge to find a cure for this virus called Gibia. During their quest, the duo faces countless attacks from Gibias and criminals who attack people for food. The series will start airing from Wednesday (July 15).
- “Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation” Season 2 is slated to air (July 7).
- “Fire Force” Season 2 is scheduled to air Friday (July 3).
- “Super HxEros” pilot episode will air Saturday (July 4).
Apart from the shows mentioned above, several shows are expected to return from the coronavirus pandemic hiatus like "Food Wars!" Season 5 and "The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited."
