‘Loki’ Season 2: Owen Wilson Confirms Return As Agent Mobius

Filming for “Loki” Season 2 is slated to start soon, according to actor Owen Wilson, who is coming back for the sophomore run of the Marvel series.

In a Wired Autocomplete Interview with the Hollywood star, Wilson confirmed that he is coming back to reprise his role as TVA agent Mobius.

During the interview, which was uploaded on YouTube late last week, the 53-year-old actor answered the most-Googled questions about him, and one of the inquiries happened to be about his potential return to the hit show.

At first, Wilson seemed hesitant to answer the question since there hasn’t been an official press release about “Loki” from Disney yet. However, he eventually gave in and disclosed that he is coming back and that filming will start soon.

“Yes, he is coming back to ‘Loki.’ And I think we’re going to start filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on ‘Loki.’ I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that,” he was quoted as saying by The Wrap.

Mobius’ appearance in the second installment was very likely after how the first season concluded in July 2021, the outlet noted. After all, the agent was still in the TVA after what transpired due to the multiverse being split open.

Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was transported to a different multiverse in the finale, and it was one where he and Mobius weren’t pals and did not know of each other’s existence. The cliffhanger showed Mobius asking the God of Mischief who he was.

Aside from Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw has also confirmed that she’s returning for “Loki” Season 2. Fans can expect her character, Ravonna Renslayer, to appear in the same timeline, as per Collider.

The exact date for the start of filming was not disclosed. An official premiere date for the sophomore season has not yet been finalized as well.

Production Weekly previously revealed that Season 2 was scheduled to start shooting in January 2022. If true, then the show could arrive on Disney+ by the end of the year or early 2023. Meanwhile, Disney has not confirmed anything as of late.
