Saul "Canelo" Alvarez recently unified the super middleweight world boxing titles after an eighth-round stoppage of Billy Joe Saunders in their super-fight over the weekend.
Aside from his spectacular in-ring showing, one of the noticeable elements of the bout held in front of a record crowd at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas from Alvarez's side was his elegant and stylish fight-worn trunks.
Stunning in its deep sky blue-and-gold trim contrast, the shorts Canelo wore was also a hit amongst spectators.
In his pre-fight pageantry entrance, the Mexican fighter was also accompanied by a white robe with the same blue-and-gold trim with an embedded logo of its fashion provider, Dolce & Gabbana, in the chest.
Alvarez recently posted a short behind-the-scenes footage of what transpired in the tailoring of his entire fight night attire.
"Thanks to @dolcegabbana for your great work and joining me in the ring," the caption read.
Even the 30-year-old's shoes were custom-made by the company, with intricate symbols representing aspects of his famed career and personal life alike.
Alvarez retained his WBA, WBC and The Ring belts while winning the WBO title in the contest, extending his reign atop the weight class since wreaking havoc in December 2018.
Since his only defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2013, Alvarez has racked up key victories over distinguished names, including Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin, Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. and Sergey Kovalev.
Tie-ups with huge brands are nothing new for the boxing sensation, having had deals with Louis Vuitton, Tecate, Hennessy, Coppel and Roger Dubuis.
As observers know by now, fight night trunks play a part in boxers' festivities. Some use it to represent their religion or send a powerful statement.
As for Alvarez, the latest partnership with the Italian luxury fashion brand proves he can carry himself in style—in and out of the squared-circle.
