Louis Tomlinson Wants Son Freddie To Be Playmates With Liam Payne’s Baby

One Direction heartthrobs Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne want to pass along the gift of friendship to their sons.

On Monday, Tomlinson, dad to 18-month-old son Freddie, expressed his excitement over his child meeting bandmate Liam Payne’s 3-month-old son, Bear. “I’m super happy for him and we haven’t been able to do it yet logistically but I’m really excited about having Freddie and Bear in the same room,” the singer told ITV. “It’s gonna be cool.”

Tomlinson co-parents Freddie with ex Briana Jungwirth. Meanwhile, Payne shares Bear with girlfriend Cheryl Cole. Both are doting dads to their little ones. In fact, Tomlinson always makes sure to schedule some bonding time with his mini-me.

Earlier this month, Tomlinson shared a snapshot on Instagram showing him teaching Freddie how to play the guitar. In the photo, he has Freddie on his lap and holds his guitar in front of them, letting his little one strum it.

This was not the first time the “Back to You” singer has taught Freddie how to play the instrument. When Tomlinson’s son was only six months old, he also had Freddie on his lap and showed him how to play the guitar. In the clip he posted, Freddie’s tiny hand holds the rim as he watches his dad play their favorite instrument.

Although the One Direction members are now pursuing solo careers after going on hiatus, their friendship remains. Harry Styles revealed that he still has a connection with Tomlinson and Payne. “It’s really amazing,” Styles told SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up” in April (via Us Weekly) of his former bandmates becoming fathers. “I’ve spoken to both of them and they’re super happy, and it’s a pretty amazing thing. It’s pretty great to watch.”

Styles, who just released his solo debut album “Harry Styles” on May 12, also wished his former bandmates success as they pursue their interests. “It’s amazing for your friends, to watch them put music out and it go so well,” Styles said. “Everyone so far has done amazing, so if I get to join them in that, that would be amazing.”

Of the One Direction members, only Malik and Styles have released their debut solo albums. However, Payne, Tomlinson and Horan are reportedly already working on theirs and have released solo singles.
