‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ Season 8 Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis Released

The ladies of “Love & Hip Hop: New York” have never been afraid to bring the drama and Season 8 will be no different. This time around, the cast will be facing a whole new set of obstacles and on “Rubbed the Wrong Way,” some of them will be forced to fight battles they are unprepared for.

“Judy pops up to Yandy’s event with a special gift for her,” the synopsis for “Love & Hip Hop: New York” Season 8, episode 2 teases. In a sneak peek of the VH1 series, Judy, who has been keeping a close eye on Yandy at the request of Mendeecees, shows up to the manager’s work event toting a multicolored oversized sweater.

Judy tells Yandy that she has been dressing too provocatively and should use the sweater to cover up because she doesn’t approve of her behavior. Although Yandy declines Judy’s offer to take the sweater, the persistent mother-in-law gives it to a waiter, who delivers the article of clothing to Yandy.

Jonathan, who is also attending the event, tells Yandy she needs to put Judy in her place because she is making her look unprofessional.

“Safaree and Dreamdoll connect and sparks fly immediately,” the synopsis for “Rubbed the Wrong Way” says. Settling back into life in New York City, Safaree is wasting no time finding love. After briefly meeting Dreamdoll in the “LHHNY” premiere episode, it seems the Brooklyn native got a glimpse of something he liked.

In the promo for the VH1 episode, Safaree can be seen leaning in to kiss Dreamdoll. After leaving “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,” Safaree was determined to find a woman unlike the ladies out in Los Angeles and it looks like he may have found one.

“NY artist Jaquae tries to mediate the situation between Bri and Bianca,” the synopsis states. While it is unclear how this mediation will go, in the previous episode, Bianca and Bri made it very clear that they cannot stand each other.

The two have already tried to fight one another and from the looks of the Season 8 promo, they have every intention of getting physical with one another whenever they come in contact.

“Navarro introduces Anais to Rich,” the synopsis teases. In the promo, Rich is seen getting close to Anais not long after their introduction, however, he quickly learns she is married with two kids.

Despite her situation, Rich seems willing to go the distance for Anais and tells her, he will stand by her side if her husband finds out about them.

“MariahLynn has a new man in her life but things go a little unexpected when he tries to stir some trouble with Self,” the synopsis says. Although MariahLynn has been doing her best to focus on creating new music, the man in her life, James, has become a bit of a distraction.

It also doesn’t help that he isn’t a fan of Self and the two get into an argument over the rapper. Will James be able to handle MariahLynn’s close relationship with Self or is the couple doomed to break up?

“Love & Hip Hop: New York” Season 8, episode 2 airs Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on VH1.
