‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ Star Cardi B Gets Into Nasty Fight With Swift’s Girlfriend; Episodes 4 And 5 Recap

Cardi B wasn’t playing when she told new “Love & Hip Hop: New York” cast member Swift on Demand that she would fight his girlfriend if they ever met. On Monday’s Season 7, episode 4 Cardi and Asia got into an altercation. However, in episode 5, Cardi ended up apologizing to Swift for her actions.

Cardi is in the studio working with Swift on some music. The rapper is using his phone to write down lyrics, but she keeps seeing text messages pop up from someone named “wifey.” At first, Cardi ignores the messages but when “wifey” starts trash talking Cardi, she loses her cool. Cardi asks Swift who “wifey” is, and he tells her that he’s been in a relationship with a woman named Asia for a few years. Swift says Asia lives in London, but she’s coming to visit him in New York soon. Cardi warns Swift that he better keep Asia away from her.

Later, Cardi meets up with Swift and in walks Asia. Cardi tries to attack Asia, but security rushes forward to separate them. Asia starts yelling at Swift, and Cardi snatches her wig off and tries to lung at Asia again but security is still between them. Cardi also gets upset with Swift because he didn’t defend her against Asia.

After the fight, Asia tells Swift that she’s done with the relationship and storms off. Cardi comes in and tells Swift that he should have never let Asia think that they were sleeping together because it’s disrespectful to her boyfriend, Tommie. Cardi is still angry and tries to fight Swift, but again, security pulls her away. Cardi tells Swift that he’s no longer on her tour, and she doesn’t want to work with him anymore.

New cast member J Adrienne is also going through some relationship drama on episode 4. She’s still mad that her girlfriend, Snoop, was being too flirtatious with Sofi Green and decides to pop up on Sofi during an audition. Sofi and J start arguing in front of the other ladies who are waiting to audition. J tells Sofi that she doesn’t want her having a friendship with Snoop, and when Sofi starts talking trash, J tries to lunge at her. Security guards rush forward to keep the ladies from fighting.

J later meets with Snoop for drinks and Snoop tries to explain that things between her and Sofi are strictly business. J starts bawling her eyes out and tells Snoop that she’s on probation and has 30 days to get it together.

Another big feud on episode 4, is the showdown between Yandy Smith, Samantha Harris and Erika. The ladies — who all have children by Mendeecees Harris — meet at Erika’s son’s graduation party and things quickly go downhill. Yandy says that before Mendeecees went to prison, he asked them to keep the kids together, but she thinks they haven’t been doing a good job at it.

Samantha asks Yandy why she’s been talking about her parenting skills behind her back and starts yelling at Yandy that she does take care of her child. Erika chimes in telling Yandy that she needs to learn her place. Erika is also still mad that Yandy refereed to her and Mendeecees son as a “break baby” and claims she was in a relationship with Mendeecees when she got pregnant. According to Yandy, Mendeecees never claimed Erika. Yandy also points out that she’s the only one who made it to wife status and got a ring. Samantha eventually leaves when they keep arguing, and Erika leaves soon after.

Meanwhile, Rich Dollaz is in a new relationship and grabs lunch with his daughter Ashley and her mom to tell them about his new love. He reveals that he’s been dating a 24-year-old woman named Jade, but Ashley doesn’t seem onboard with the relationship. She wants her dad to spend the summer with her and not get distracted by another woman.

To prove that Jade is different, Rich invites her to join him and his daughter for dinner at his house. Ashley is unimpressed and tells her dad that she doesn’t see it working.

On episode 5, JuJu makes her first appearance and meets up with Kimbella and J Adrienne for lunch. J shares her relationship troubles with the ladies and tells Kimbella that Snoop wants Sofi to work with Juelz Santana. Kimbella says there is no way Sofi is working with her boyfriend.

Elsewhere, Cardi meets up with her sister Hennessy and tells her about the fight she had with Swift and Asia. Hennessy tells Cardi that she shouldn’t have let Asia get her so upset and advises her to call Swift and apologize to him. Cardi eventually does apologize to the producer, but he’s not ready to forgive her because Asia broke up with him.

Later in the episode, MariahLynn shows up to DJ Self’s event for his company Gwinnin. Self wants Mariah to sign to his label, and Mariah brings her contract with her because she’s ready to become the first lady of Gwinin. That’s all shattered when Self introduces another female artist to perform during his event. As the girl is performing, she refers to herself as the first lady of Gwinnin. Mariah is mad and approaches Self about it. She rips up her contract in his face and says she no longer wants to sign with him. Mariah then makes a beeline for her ex, Rich Dollaz, and they start arguing before she eventually storms out of the event.
