‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ Star Swift Teases Drama With Cardi B; Peter Gunz Talks Amina Buddafly And Tara Wallace
Swift on Demand’s girlfriend Asia might want to stay as far away from Cardi B as possible. On Monday night’s episode 4 of “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” Cardi tells Swift that if she runs into his girlfriend while she’s visiting the Big Apple, there’s going to be a major problem.
At the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” Season 7 viewing party in the Bronx, International Business Times spoke to new cast member Swift about the drama involving Cardi, as well as veteran Peter Gunz, about his relationships with Amina Buddafly and Tara Wallace.
Swift explained that he and Cardi met after her manager contacted him about a song. “I dropped a record, and her manager reached out to me. I didn’t even know that was her manager so he told me afterwards, ‘Hey, I’m Cardi B’s manager I want to work with you, I want you to work with her,’” he said. “But the whole ‘Love & Hip Hop’ thing came into play afterwards. They offered the idea to me and I was like, ‘alright, cool.’ I always liked the show.”
According to the producer, he’s just friends with Cardi, although they shared a kiss on a previous episode. “Stay tuned,” he told IBT. “You guys will see what’s going on. It’s a lot. … Me and Cardi B though we’re really good friends, we make a lot of money together, we make good music together. That’s all it is.”
Swift definitely won’t be the only cast member this season going through some drama. Peter told IBT at the viewing party that he’s on good terms with his estranged wife Amina and cool with his ex-girlfriend Tara, but there are a lot of ups and down for him. “Things change in my life, so you’ll see. I got the new baby, I got some trouble on the Creep Squad,” he said. “But me and Amina are good. I’m good with all of my kids and all of their moms.”
He added: “This season is gonna be interesting, you got a lot of new people. You gonna see hot and colds, but just like the rest of y’all, I don’t know what’s going on. And I promise you with me, it’s gonna be a lot of ups and down, a rollercoaster so hold on.”
“Love & Hip Hop: New York” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on VH1.
