‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ Star Tara Wallace Reveals Baby’s Gender, Explains Why She Kept Pregnancy A Secret [VIDEO]
Tara Wallace accidentally spilled the beans on her baby's gender during a recent interview while giving fans an update on how she's been handling her pregnancy. The "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star, who's expecting another bundle of joy with ex-boyfriend Peter Gunz, revealed that she's weeks away from giving birth to a baby boy.
"I have this little pact with God that the baby has to stay in at least 40 weeks," she told Essence Live Thursday. "So we're still not quite 40 weeks."
She continued, "So he has to stay in there... I wasn't supposed to say that... But he has to stay in there for 40 weeks."
Tara's baby boy will be her third son with Peter. The pair, who dated for 13 years, are already parents to Kaz and Jamison.
As previously reported, Tara revealed she was pregnant earlier this week just moments after she dropped the baby bombshell on Season 6, episode 6 of the VH1 show. Her pregnancy announcement also came shortly after Peter's wife, Amina Buddafly, revealed that she too was expecting another baby but had decided to get an abortion.
Tara told Essence that she found out she was pregnant around the same time Amina announced her baby news.
“That was a big blow. Like how am I going to deal with this? I really didn’t tell anybody," she said. "I was just trying to see what I was going to do, how I was feeling and how I was going to cope with this, how I was going to start telling my family, how I was going to tell my children, and even how I was going to tell Peter. Because it’s a blow. It’s a big deal.”
Peter has remained relatively quiet about Tara's pregnancy and Amina's abortion but did lash out at fans for attacking his wife and ex-girlfriend.
“Again, I’m not on child support, not one kid on welfare, never asked anyone for help with my kids, yet the out cry is so harsh… Go figure,” he wrote. “Can’t help trusting and believing a man you love… Blame me, not Tara and Amina… But after you blame me f--- off."
Becase of all the drama surrounding the trio, Amina recently revealed that she's considered quitting the VH1 show and not returning for Season 7.
"Love & Hip Hop: New York" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on VH!.
