‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 5 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Weaponizer’? [VIDEO]
Fox’s “Lucifer” left fans with an unexpected cliffhanger towards the end of the episode. Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) was in a car accident in Season 4, episode 5. Elsewhere, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) realized that God may want Chloe’s life back since he didn’t deliver his end of the bargain. His mom (Tricia Helfer) wasn’t sent back to hell as part of their deal. What will happen in episode 5?
For starters, the promo of the upcoming episode confirms that Chloe isn’t dead or hospitalized yet. She emerges from her car a little bruised and slightly bloody but she is back on her feet in no time. According to the official synopsis, Lucifer and Chloe will team up to investigate the murder of his favorite action movie hero, Wesley Cabot.
At first the main suspect is the hero’s long-time rival Rolf Van Zandt (Mark Dacascos), but the investigation leads takes an unexpected turn.
However, the most interesting part of Season 2, episode 5, titled “Weaponizer,” isn’t the investigation. It’s that Lucifer and Amenadiel’s (DB Woodside) brother Uriel (Michael Imperioli) pays them a visit on Earth. But it isn’t a social one. Uriel wants their mother and if Lucifer doesn’t deliver her to him, he will have no choice but to take Chloe’s life back. Her accident may have been a warning to the devil.
Moreover, Amenadiel will be forced to come clean about his lost powers.
Ellis teased that next week’s episode will be “awesome” in a tweet.
The trailer gives a glimpse of a showdown between Lucifer and Uriel. It seems like the fallen angel isn’t going to fulfil his end of the deal with God.
The preview also shows Chloe asking the owner of Lux why he is suddenly interested in her well-being.
