‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Spoilers: Lucifer Goes To Church In Episode 8 [RECAP]
“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 8 was filled with exciting twists for Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and Ella (Aimee Garcia).
In “Trip to Stabby Town,” Lucifer and Ella developed a close working and personal relationship after the lead character employed the latter’s help in searching for Azrael’s deadly blade. Upon reaching Uriel’s (Michael Imperioli) grave, Lucifer discovered that someone dug it up but left behind Uriel’s deceased body. Ella agreed to help Lucifer on one condition: he will go to church with her.
Prior to their church visit, Chloe seemed to be jealous of Lucifer and Ella’s new bond. After all, Chloe is used to being the only woman Lucifer works with. Lucifer noticed that Chloe seemed distant ever since he started spending time with Ella. When they finally had a chance to talk to each other, Chloe told Lucifer that he shouldn’t even think about sleeping with Ella. He said he won’t do such a thing, and Chloe instantly calmed down.
Meanwhile, Lucifer also had tons of realizations in “Trip to Stabby Town.” Throughout the entire episode, he contemplated on why he feels so at home on Earth considering that he’s the devil. When he finally got hold of Azrael’s blade, Lucifer figured out that he feels so attached to Earth because it’s the only place where people respected him. Lucifer then made it his mission to keep Earth and the people living in it as safe as possible.
Unfortunately for him, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) didn’t like what has become of her son. After all, it has always been her goal to send him and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) back to Hell.
At the end of episode 8, Lucifer and Ella finally went to church. The latter told the former that she typically talks to the Big Guy up there when she feels troubled.
“Lucifer” Season 2 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
