KEY POINTS

  • "Madden NFL 21" players will get a better Franchise mode and commissioner experience
  • More improvements to "Madden NFL 21" are coming in March
  • Better Franchise mode and commissioner management will make "Madden NFL 21" more realistic

Just like most games, “Madden NFL 21” gets improved through updates. EA listens to the requests of players, and the latest enhancement should address the concerns related to Franchise mode.

There have been concerns about certain inconsistencies on “Madden NFL 21” when played in this mode, including AI issues when drafting quarterbacks. The latest update promises to improve on that aspect.

The update will not introduce a new logic for CPU teams when evaluating rosters. This way, the feature will prevent teams from replacing quarterbacks and other players too soon. Game developers added rules and factors that should help determine the AI process of figuring out which QBs should be kept and replaced.

Aside from the improved AI for “Madden NFL 21,” there are also improvements made for commissioners. With the latest update, would-be commissioners can now undo free agent signings in the offseason by simply clicking on the players and sending them back to the free-agent pool.

This feature can be turned on or off by the player for Heat Seeker tackling, Ball Hawk and Switch Assist. When it comes to the NFL Draft, users can resort to autopilot, which comes with a pause and resume functionality.

Another added feature is the Commissioner House Rules function. This means that players can set how many times a play can be called in a game or how long one must wait before calling on the same play again.

X-Factor customization tools in career settings have also been added for commissioners to control. This allows “Madden NFL 21” users to edit players’ X-Factor abilities via different settings.

These updates should make “Madden NFL 21” a whole lot better, especially the Franchise mode and commissioners. But it appears that there are more improvements on the way for the Franchise mode.

Additional updates are coming in March, one of which is Trade Logic. The said feature will enhance the player and draft picking process, which should make trades more rewarding. The Franchise League history will also get a new tile so that players can see award winners in the years they were with the team.
