Maddie Ziegler Celebrates 10 Million Followers On Instagram Following Successful ‘Leap’ Premiere
Maddie Ziegler now has 10 million followers on Instagram!
On Sunday, the teen actress thanked all of her followers for their love and support on social media and said that it means a lot to her. Ziegler has the most followers on Instagram among all of her previous co-stars in Lifetime’s “Dance Moms.”
Other than her popularity on Instagram, Ziegler is also celebrating the successful premiere of her movie, “Leap.” On Saturday, the 14-year-old dancer attended the premiere of the film at The Grove in Los Angeles. She was joined by her younger sister, Mackenzie Ziegler, as well as her former “Dance Moms” co-star, Nia Frazier.
The animated movie “Leap” follows the life of an orphaned girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina. Felicie Milliner, 11 (Elle Fanning), leaves her hometown of Brittany to pursue her biggest dream in Paris. But Felicie lies about her identity since she will just be borrowing the name of another young girl who has the means to train at the Opera Ballet School.
In the film, Ziegler lent her voice to the character named Camille, a not-so-nice young ballet dancer. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Ziegler said that she is very different from the character she had to portray, but mean ballet dancers definitely exist in the real world. “Just block them out. I just act like they don’t matter at all…” she said.
Meanwhile, Ziegler also shared with the publication who her biggest inspiration is while at the red carpet premiere of “Leap.” According to the former “So You Think You Can Dance: Next Generation” judge, she looks up to Kate Hudson. Ziegler and Hudson will soon be working with each other in Sia’s upcoming project, and Hudson even shaved her head for the role.
“She’s amazing I mean she knows how to do everything, she’s the most incredible actor and she’s probably my biggest inspiration in life – her and Sia, two girl empowerment, they’re amazing,” she said.
When asked what her project for Sia is like, Ziegler simply urged fans to wait and see. “It’s really fun and like I said, it’s something completely different and something people won’t expect,” she said.
