‘Magic Mike’ Star Channing Tatum Shares What He Asked Halle Berry The First Time They Met

Channing Tatum is among the many men who got mesmerized by Halle Berry’ beauty.

Tatum, 37, and Berry, 50, are set to star in “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” The cast took the stage at Comic-Con San Diego where the “Magic Mike” star talked about the first time he met the “Catwoman” actress.

“The first thing I think I said, ‘cause I was so nervous and she is so beautiful, I am just like, ‘Do you think you are the most used name in rap songs?’” Tatum told Entertainment Tonight. “I didn’t say anything else. I didn’t even say, ‘Hi, my name is Channing.’ I was like, ‘Do you think you...’ I just had, like, one question to ask her.”

Although their first meet up caught Tatum off guard, the “Kingsman” stars had a great time on set. In fact, the “21 Jump Street” actor often joked with his co-star. “I always joke with her. I am like, ‘You just look like you just drank a green juice right off the beach sun,’ like, her skin. She is so beautiful. It’s insane! She is the sweetest thing, absolutely the sweetest person.”

Tatum’s question about Berry being the favorite name in rap songs was not new to the actress. In an interview with BlackTree TV, the “Die Another Day” star was asked if she listens to the songs that dropped her name. “Yeah, believe it or not, somebody will always call me up oh here’s another one and they’ll send it to me or tell me about it and then I’ll go listen,” Berry explained. The actress admitted that she heard eight hip hop song with her name on it.

Tatum’s immense reaction after meeting Berry for the first time was not surprising. Berry appeared seven times on People’s top 10 list of Most Beautiful People. In 2003, she was the no. 1 in the “50 Most Beautiful People In The World.” In October 2008, the “Swordfish” star was hailed as Esquire Magazine’s “Sexiest Woman Alive.” Berry, who was already in her 40s at that time, gladly accepted the recognition. “I don’t know exactly what it means, but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I’ll take it,” Berry said, Women Fitness noted.
