Are you ready for a new Disney fairytale? The Mickey Mouse power house has just released a brand new promo poster for “Maleficent,” its latest live-action film, and it will definitely send shivers down your spine.

Angelina Jolie has traded her sexy clothing in for a chance to don the iconic black horns of Maleficent, the evil witch who cast a spell on Princess Aurora in the 1959 Disney classic “Sleeping Beauty.” Set to be released on Friday, May 30, 2014, “Maleficent” will reveal the untold story of Disney’s iconic villain.

The film is about Maleficent, a “beautiful, pure-hearted young woman,” who has “an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom.” But one day Maleficent’s tranquil home is turned upside down when an army invades and “threatens the harmony of the land.”

According to the plot synopsis: “Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal – an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora hold the key to peace in the kingdom – and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.”

The poster fails to reveal anything besides a chilling look at Jolie as Maleficent, however fans will have an opportunity to see more of the film when the first official movie trailer is released on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. EST.

Besides Angelina Jolie, “Maleficent” stars Juno Temple as Thistletwit, Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, Sharlto Copley as Stefan, Brenton Thwaites as Prince Phillip. The movie also features Jolie’s daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, as toddler Princess Aurora.
