Malia Obama's Drinking Photos, Alleged Anti-Trump Posts Cause Frenzy: See Hilarious Twitter Reactions
Malia Obama is living her best life, enjoying some downtime with friends and hitting the beach in a bikini over the weekend with pals. However, it seems photos of the first daughter drinking, coupled with a new report about her alleged anti-Donald Trump posts, may have caused more frenzy than the situation actually warranted.
Daily Mail recently put out a report claiming that the eldest daughter of former U.S. president Barack Obama and wife Michelle Obama has a secret Facebook account where she has made her sentiments about Trump clear. The publication alleged that the Facebook page, which is under a pseudonym, has a cover photo of post-it notes with the messages: "Donald Trump is President," "This is not normal," "Donald Trump is evil" and "Don't be complacent."
This particular photo was reportedly commented on by former vice-president Joe Biden's granddaughter, Finnegan, who said that she "liked" it. The Facebook page has reportedly not been updated since 2017.
But this new report, along with stories vilifying Malia for drinking before she turns 21 years old — the legal drinking age in the U.S. — seems to have sparked a debate, with most on the Harvard student's side. Most of Twitter seems to be all for Malia drinking and saying whatever she wants, as seen in the hilarious reactions below.
Some, however, are questioning Malia's choice of friends, saying that her pals had "snitched" on her.
Others are just happy with Malia's good taste in wine.
The Twitter and online frenzy comes a few days after Malia took some time off her busy schedule as a Harvard student to hit the beach over the President's Day holiday weekend. Photos from the sighting showed that the former first daughter was with some of her friends in southern Florida as she lounged and enjoyed some drinks by the seaside, clad in a stylish white bikini that showed off her lean frame.
This may have been a girls-only trip as Rory Farquharson, Malia's British boyfriend, wasn't spotted with the former first daughter. But Malia didn't seem to be too hung up on her boyfriend's absence as she was photographed smiling and having a good time with her friends as they lounged and sipped some cold drinks beneath a beach umbrella. The pals were also spotted posing for photos at one point.
