Mama June On Finding New Love On TikTok: ‘I’m Learning To Love Me First’

Mama June Shannon has made it very clear that she’s not looking for a romantic relationship at the moment following reports linking her to some TikTok influencers.

The 42-year-old reality star took to the short-form video platform Monday to address the question on why she’s not looking for new love on TikTok since she has become very active on the platform lately. Mama June set the record straight that it’s not her priority right now.

“I’m gonna go publicly here and say this … my answer to that, I’m all by myself. I’m learning to love me [first]. I’m learning to care about me. I’m learning to know who I am inside and what I really want in my next relationship,” she said in a video she posted online.

The “Mama June: From Not To Hot” star went on to admit that the “single life” really sucks because she loves “being with somebody, showing them love, showering them with care, calling with them at nighttime — I like all those things.”

Mama June then noted that she’s “not really looking for love right now,” adding that she’ll know it when she comes across new love. She concluded her video post by saying that she’s still hoping to find true love someday and wished her fans good luck on their own journey to finding one.

Many fans quickly reacted to the We TV star’s post with most of them agreeing to what she said. They also praised her for prioritizing herself for now.

A day prior, Honey Boo Boo’s mom shared a heartbreaking post about being destined to be alone because people kept leaving her on TikTok. Several of her fans also reacted to the post with many of them asking if it had something to do with another content creator on the platform named Donnie Hobbs.

Mama June and Hobbs were previously working on a collaboration called #50weeks50states where they drove around the country to spread positivity to other people. Donnie has seemingly decided to back out from the project due to personal reasons, one of them being his budding romance with another person.

In response to the inquiries about her being hurt because Hobbs allegedly ditched her for another woman named Erika, Mama June clarified that she was just Donnie’s “best friend that’s never romantically been involved with him.” She also maintained that he never left her for Erika because she knew about their relationship.

Prior to Hobbs, Mama June was also linked to 24-year-old Jordan McCollum, who has amassed 1.1 million followers and 13.3 million likes on TikTok. But according to the reality star, McCollum was just a friend, too.

Mama June’s last serious relationship was with Geno Doak, 45, but they broke up earlier this year amid the confirmation that the latter has been sentenced to 16 months in his crack cocaine case.
