‘Mama June: Road To Redemption’ Episode 4 Spoilers: June Admits Selfishness Amid Confrontation With Alana

“Mama June: Road to Redemption” is back with a new episode this week, and fans will finally get to see Mama June Shannon’s reunion with her daughters Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon-Efird that’s one year in the making.

Based on the exclusive sneak peek obtained by E! News, emotions will run high as Mama June, 41, admits to Alana, 15, that she’s been selfish all this time — from the moment she decided to enter rehab and even after her stint at the treatment facility.

“I know I was selfish when I went to rehab and to be honest with you, I'm still a little bit selfish in my recovery,” Mama June tells Alana in the clip as the two of them struggle to fight back tears. “But I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get you all back in my life and that's the reason why I'm here today.”

Mama June made the statement after Alana confronted her for not being there for her when she needed her. Instead, she was left under the care of her older sister Lauryn, who is only 21 and has a family of her own.

“It's just hard because you wasn't there for my first day of high school and I think that's a pretty big thing. It was hard for me not having my mom there and I had to come home and tell Pumpkin what I was doing. I'm very grateful that Pumpkin was there for me, but why wasn't you there? Why wasn't you there in the moments I needed you most?” Alana says in the teaser.

In response, Mama June tells her daughter that she was “sick” at the time and was not able to take care of herself. The show’s lead star was referring to her struggle with drug addiction that got out of hand when she decided to ditch her kids to be with her boyfriend Geno Doak, 45, in early 2019. And now, she claims that after doing rehab, she’s ready to make things better for her and her daughters.

Meanwhile, in another episode 4 snippet obtained by TooFab, it appears that Lauryn is not willing to make amends with her mom even though Mama June has claimed that she’s been sober for months after her rehab stint.

“I can’t give Alana her mom. It’s like I’m drowning,” she says in a confessional.

Ahead of the highly anticipated reunion episode, Lauryn celebrated Easter Sunday with her husband Joshua Efird, 24, their 3-year-old daughter Ella Grace and Alana without Mama June. This prompted many of their fans to comment on their social media accounts that Mama June might have chosen her boyfriend Geno over her own daughters.
