Is Mama June's Boyfriend A Child Molester? Sugar Bear Reacts To Mark McDaniel Rumors

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star Sugar Bear might not be a man of many words, but when it came to Mama June allegedly bringing a convicted child molester around their daughter, he made it clear he was not happy. A picture recently circled the Web that showed convicted child molester Mark McDaniel with his hand on the shoulder of Alana, also known as “Honey Boo Boo.”

When TMZ caught up with Sugar Bear, whose real name is Mike Thompson, he kept his head low but politely answered questions. When asked if he was upset about the child molester allegations he simply replied, “A little bit.”

Mama June, whose real name is June Shannon, reportedly broke up with Sugar Bear after he cheated on her. However, the new story is that Mama June was actually the one who was unfaithful. "I don't know," Sugar Bear said when asked about the reverse cheating allegations. "I didn't read that one today."

Since Shannon, 35, has been accused of the child molester scandal, TLC canceled the “Toddlers and Tiaras” spinoff. “Yeah. I’m upset it got canceled,” Sugar Bear responded.

It was first reported McDaniel had sexual abused one of Shannon’s relatives, but it was later revealed he forced oral sex Shannon’s daughter Anna (Chickadee). He served 10 years in prison and is now a register sex offender in Shannon’s home state of Georgia.

"A week or so after it happened, I talked to Mama, and she was upset, crying and saying, 'I don't believe you. I don't believe you. Why would you do this to me?'" Chickadee told People. "And I was like, 'Mama, he did that to me and I can't do anything about it. You were never there to see it you were always at work.’"

Shannon, however, has denied she is dating McDaniel but admitted they were together in the past. I would not ever, ever, ever put my kids in danger. "I love my kids too much. That is my past,” she said in a statement. “I have not seen that person in 10 years and don’t want to see that person.”
