Mama June’s Boyfriend Geno Breaks Silence Following Arrest, Flips Off Haters

Mama June Shannon’s boyfriend, Geno Doak, is furious over all the speculations that have surfaced about him in the wake of his arrest with Honey Boo Boo’s mother last week and has decided to finally break his silence on social media.

Over the weekend, Geno uploaded a photo of himself giving the finger and looking enraged on Instagram. In his caption, the ex-convict targeted those who have been spreading false rumors against him, specifically the way he treats his children.

“Contrary to what some may lead you to believe I do not have any children that are frightened of me. I’ve been beyond nice and will continue to be as long as my image and me are left alone. Call my bluff if you must,” he wrote.

Geno has four kids, two boys and two girls, from a previous relationship. It wasn’t clear how the rumors of him not treating his children well started. But this is the first time Geno has spoken ever since he and Mama June got arrested for drug-related charges ahead of the “From Not To Hot” Season 3 premiere.

Aside from Geno, Mama June’s daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, has also broken her silence amid the controversy. At the start of last Friday’s episode, Pumpkin made a statement, saying, “Hey guys, as you know, you’ve seen the stuff out in the media and our family is going through a rough patch.”

The 19-year-old reality star then went on to say that things have been pretty turbulent for them in the recent months. She noted that they hope that by sharing their story through their TV show, they could help other families who may be going through the same things. She then concluded her statement by thanking their fans.

Pumpkin’s statement only appeared on the live airing of the show last week. The online version of the episode that is already available to stream via WE tv does not feature it, according to People.

Ever since Mama June and Geno got arrested at an Alabama gas station on March 13, Pumpkin has been filling in for her mother. She and younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 13, have been teaming up to promote their show via interviews with different outlets. In the previous seasons, Mama June and Alana used to do the promotions together.

Meanwhile, a recent poll showed that fans want either Pumpkin or Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson to take care of Honey Boo Boo while Mama June is on the down low. However, it appears Sugar Bear isn’t a good choice because Alana exposed his dirty laundry ahead of the show’s premiere and called him out for not talking to her regularly and neglecting his duties to her as her father.
