Mama June’s Rumored Boyfriend Jordan McCollum Contracts COVID-19: ‘Everything Tastes Like Cardboard’

Mama June Shannon’s rumored boyfriend Jordan McCollum has tested positive for the coronavirus, and he’s sharing his story with his fans on social media.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old influencer, who has amassed over 1.1 million followers and 13.3 million likes on TikTok, shared an update on the video-sharing platform, telling his fans that he’s been diagnosed with COVID-19 recently.

“So I got [COVID-19]. I haven’t really let you guys know much, but I spend the first bit of energy I’ve had since I’ve been down… My back pain [has] gone away, finally,” McCollum said at the start of the clip.

The content creator, who lives in Florence, Alabama, then went on to reveal that his taste and smell are still “completely obliterated,” so for him, “everything tastes like cardboard, literally.”

McCollum also shared in his post that he filmed the clip late at night while watching Netflix because he’s bored after sleeping “for the past four days, literally.” He then admitted that it was getting “pretty boring” and “annoying” because he has the house all to himself.

In a follow-up he uploaded Monday, McCollum shared a video of him driving around the city while singing along to the music he played loudly inside his car.

The post received mixed reactions from his fans. While many were happy to see the influencer smiling again, others expressed concern over the possibility of him transmitting the virus to other people.

“Jordan! So nice to see you and smiling,” one wrote.

“Happy to see your smiling face,” another stated.

“Don’t you have [COVID-19]? You need to be careful,” a different fan commented.

“Got [COVID-19] and going out gonna affect (sic) others around [you]?” a fourth user added.

McCollum has been making the headlines lately for his rumored romantic relationship with the 42-year-old reality star. There are speculations that Mama June decided to move to Florence to be with the much younger social media influencer.

Mama June is also rumored to be the one who bought McCollum his new car. The TikTok star previously showed off a 2013 Nissan Altima on July 18 while saying that “someone” had bought it for him. Weeks later, the car broke down due to transmission issues, and it was quickly replaced with the 2019 model of the same car.

In an Instagram post, McCollum introduced his new ride to his followers, and Mama June quickly left a comment saying, “[You] deserve it and that’s a sexy car,” along with a string of red heart emojis.

Rumors of the “Mama June: From Not to Hot” star dating the much younger man surfaced following her admission that she and Geno Doak have already called it quits. In a live chat with a friend on social media last week, Mama June reportedly admitted that Geno was no longer part of her life.

Mama June’s 45-year-old ex-boyfriend, who was recently sentenced to 16 months in Macon Community Corrections in Alabama in his crack cocaine case, has yet to address their breakup.
