Man accused of stalking Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck
Los Angeles prosecutors charged a Pennsylvania man on Thursday with stalking actors Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, after police said he showed up at their daughter's school despite a court stay-away order.
Steven Burky, 37, was expected to appear in court on Thursday to face the charge.
In November 2008, Garner obtained a restraining order against Burky, after the Alias star told a judge that she feared for the life of herself and her family.
Burky, who last year was on a psychiatric hold, once told Garner, God had sent him a vision of her being persecuted in a manner that may result in her death, court papers stated.
Authorities say Burky continued stalking Garner until his arrest on Monday at the southern California nursery school attended by the couple's four year-old daughter Violet.
Burky faces up to four years in prison if convicted, prosecutors said. He is currently jailed on $150,000 bail.
