A 23-year-old man was injured after being attacked by two men in Adelaide, Australia, this week.
The two suspects, aged 19 and 22, were arrested after a fight involving an ax and a knife near Adelaide's Ferryden Park just before midnight on Saturday, 9News reported.
The identities of the victim and the two suspects have not been disclosed, but police said that the three individuals are known to each other, according to the outlet.
The 23-year-old man sustained injuries to his arms after allegedly being struck with a small ax.
The injured man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects were taken into custody by police and charged with aggravated assault and affray.
Both are out on bail and are set to appear in court at an unspecified date.
In related news, a 29-year-old man is recuperating at a hospital after he was stabbed in the chest at a soccer match in Sydney, Australia, Saturday, according to a separate 9News report.
At around 1:35 p.m. Saturday, police were called to a carpark at a sportsground on Pembroke Road, Leumeah, following reports of a stabbing.
The man, whose identity was not revealed, was attacked by two individuals who fled the scene when police arrived.
The injured man was rushed to Liverpool Hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are seeking information from witnesses or cellphone footage of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
Earlier this month, "Slumdog Millionaire" actor Dev Patel witnessed a stabbing at a gas station in Adelaide.
Patel was filmed by a 7News camera crew speaking with police after a woman, 34, allegedly stabbed a man, 32, in the chest at about 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 1, Sky News reported.
Police arrested and charged the woman with aggravated assault causing harm. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident.
The man and woman were known to each other, and the attack was not random, South Australia Police said.
Patel was said to be spending time in south Australia with his girlfriend and "Hotel Mumbai" co-star Tilda Cobham-Hervey, who is from Adelaide.
