A man was arrested after he shot and killed a 24-year-old victim for not giving way to his car. The incident took place in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

According to local reports, the victim, identified as Ashish, was talking to a friend after stopping his car at a trisection, when the accused, Krishna Pal, came behind the vehicle and asked the victim to go somewhere else and talk. This was when the victim got agitated and got into a heated argument with the accused. In a fit of rage, the accused took out his gun and shot the victim before fleeing the scene in his car. The victim died on the spot.

After a police complaint was filed, the accused was taken into custody the following day. Police confirmed that during interrogation, Pal confessed to the crime. He remained in custody and was charged with murder. Investigation into the case was ongoing.

The incident comes less than a month after a drunk man in the same state shot a salon owner during an argument. The victim, identified as Arun, was working in his salon when Lalit entered and started abusing the former. The two got into a heated argument when the accused took out his pistol and shot the victim before fleeing the scene.
