Man Rapes, Impregnates Teen By Threatening To Upload Her Aunt's Intimate Videos Online

A man in the Indian state of Maharashtra was arrested Sunday for raping and impregnating a 17-year-old girl by threatening to make her aunt’s intimate videos with him viral.

Police said the man, identified as 26-year-old Azmal Lashkar, met the victim’s aunt at a function a few months back. The two exchanged numbers and began texting each other. Soon, the accused was in a physical relationship with the 21-year-old woman promising to marry her. In the meantime, he came in contact with the 17-year-old girl. He threatened to make her aunt’s private videos with him go viral on the internet and raped her.

The victim revealed the ordeal to her family members last week and informed them that she was pregnant. They soon filed a complaint following which the police officers laid a trap and caught Lashkar on Sunday. He was charged for rape and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He remained in police custody as of Sunday night.

The incident comes less than a month after a man in the same state raped his 17-year-old daughter by blackmailing her with a video of the teen having sex with her boyfriend. The girl was in a relationship with a collegemate. One day, the boyfriend sexually assaulted her at her home. A few hours after the assault, the girl’s father showed her the video of the two getting intimate and raped her. The father and the boyfriend were booked for rape.
