A 16-year-old boy raped a six-year-old neighbor on the pretext of giving her chocolate. The incident took place in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

According to local reports, the unidentified girl was playing alone outside her home Saturday, when the teen approached her and lured her to his home with a bar of chocolate. Upon reaching home, the teen raped the girl before asking her to leave when she started crying.

“He asked the girl to come to his home where he has kept chocolate. When the minor girl followed the accused inside his home, the boy pinned her on the floor and raped her,” police said.

The victim then reached her home crying. The mother of the victim noticed blood stains on her undergarments and confronted her about the same. The girl then narrated the ordeal to her. The parents of the victim then rushed to the teen’s home and found it locked. They then saw the teen fleeing on his bike. Following this, the parents went to the police station and filed a complaint. Police managed to find the teen and took him into custody the following evening.

Confirming the same, a police official said, “ We have detained the boy and we will take him to a government hospital for his medical test and then send him to children’s home.”
