Man Slits Lover's Throat With Blade Suspecting Her Of Cheating

A man slit his lover's throat suspecting she was cheating on him. The 32-year-old married woman's body was found in a canal in New Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Gaurav Sharma told local media that the woman, who worked in a spa, was in a relationship with the 21-year-old man, who was also married, for three years. Police said that despite being in an extramarital relationship with the accused, the woman was romantically involved with other men.

During questioning, the accused confessed to killing the woman and told police that he had taken the woman on his motorcycle to the canal. They consumed alcohol and later he slit her throat with a blade. He dumped the body into the canal, the officer said.

Police have filed a complaint against the man, identified only by his first name Anil.

In June, a 22-year-old woman was killed by her husband after he suspected her of cheating. Police said the woman's body was found with marks around her neck. The victim's family had requested the police to probe whether the victim was murdered. The victim's husband, Inam Bastiwala, 29, was arrested and later he confessed he killed her because she was cheating on him.
