Man Tries To Sexually Assault Minor Girl, Gets Stabbed To Death By Neighbors

A man was stabbed to death by a mob after he attempted to rape a minor girl. The incident took place at the Indian state of Karnataka on Sunday.

The 52-year-old accused, identified as Fakruddeensab Nadaf, tried to sexually assault the girl after he reportedly lured her to his house when she was alone. According to police, the man was attacked by the minor’s relatives and neighbors and was later admitted to a government hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

"When the girl was alone at home, Nadaf lured her and took her to his home. Neighbors who observed Nadaf's moves assaulted him and handed him over to police. The accused was admitted to the hospital for treatment," said police inspector Ranganath Neelammanavar.

The victim's identity was not disclosed in order to protect her privacy.

In a similar incident earlier this month, a man was thrashed and made to parade naked on the streets after he was caught trying to rape a 4-year-old girl in Maharashtra, India. The 35-year-old accused, Jawahar Vaidya, attempted to rape the child after he noticed that she was alone at home. The girl’s mother returned home and immediately raised an alarm. Following this, people in the locality gathered at the spot and thrashed the accused. The man had his hands tied with a rope and was paraded naked on the streets before he was handed over to the police.
