Roster changes for the future are one of the biggest tasks for a club like Manchester United. With this, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly seeking to develop further his lineup by seeking the services of Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi.

The 21-year-old has been a bright spot for Mikel Arteta’s club as he’s shown the potential he has on the pitch. The way Guendouzi positions himself on the field has him compared to the elite players of the game. Some have brought up that he may be the second coming of Patrick Vieira with the combination of his athletic ability and the high intellect for the game.

Despite all of the hype around Guendouzi, he has already found himself in a mix of transfer rumors. The star midfielder has been open about his status with the club and has requested to leave the organization. Per Red Devil Armada, Manchester United has reportedly had the French national team representative within their radar.

Throughout his young career, Guendouzi has been consistent on the field as a reliable force on the defensive and offensive end. Throughout the season he’s putting up 1.3 tackles a game to go along with 1.2 interceptions an outing. To add to this, he’s also put up 1.2 clearances a night.

In his overall career with Arsenal, he’s suited up for 82 appearances and has scored a goal to go along with five assists. The young star has shown promise that would benefit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s system, as the veteran manager is looking to develop his players for the future.

It would be beneficial for Manchester United to have someone like Guendouzi on the team. Given the current strategy of Solskjaer now is to hone his younger player further for the future, Arsenal’s rising star may benefit from a transfer to Old Trafford. At this point of the year, Solskjaer would want to make the most out of his young talent in the roster.

It will be interesting to see how aggressive players like Guendouzi will fit in with the club in the coming years if they ever pull through with this move. Player development is crucial for Solskjaer's system and it will be pivotal for any prospect entering the squad to make the most out of his experience with Manchester United.
