  • Manchester United is looking to Benoit Badiashile to deepen their roster as a possible new addition
  • The 19-year-old from AS Monaco shows a lot of potential for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's club
  • Solskjaer has been looking to further develop young talent for the club's future

The adjustments made in one’s roster are one of the biggest tasks for a club like Manchester United. With this, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly seeking to develop further his talent by seeking young star Benoit Badiashile from the AS Monaco FC.

The 19-year-old has been a bright spot for the French team as he’s shown the potential he has on the pitch. The way Badiashile moves on the field is extraordinary with the combination of the athletic ability and the high intellect for the game.

Per Red Devil Armada, Badishile is someone Manchester United could benefit from with his consistency in passing and overall game.

Throughout his young career, he’s recorded an 85.5% passing percentage in 16 appearances for Ligue 1. The defensive capabilities are also present as he averages 1.1 tackles and 1.7 interceptions an outing. The young defender has shown promise that would benefit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s system, as the veteran manager is looking to develop his players for the future.

Perhaps the biggest comparison Badiashile has gotten is how he’s likened to Kalidou Koulibaly. While there has been speculation that Manchester United has been courting Koulibaly to sign with the club, nothing has been finalized yet. This is why Badiashile can come up as a good alternative to sign if plans don’t push through.

The youth of Badiashile can be utilized under a historic club like Manchester United. The rich past of the organization is something the center back can learn from in the long run. With players such as Chris Smalling reported to leave, Badiashile can use this opportunity to grow and gain as much experience as possible in the team.

At this point in the season, Solskjaer would want to make the most out of their remaining games. They’re currently at fifth place in the Premier League standings as they hold a record of 13 wins, 10 draws, and 8 losses.

It will be interesting to see how young stars like Badiashile will fit in the team in the coming years. Player development is crucial for the Solskjaer system and it will be essential for any youngster entering the squad to make the most out of his time with Manchester United.
