New details about “The Mandalorian” TV series have surfaced online. According to sources close to the production, the show will create a mystery for the protagonist played by Pedro Pascal by making the character just like Boba Fett in the original trilogy.

The following article contains minor spoilers from “The Mandalorian.”

The promo material of the “Star Wars” series that has been released so far shows the lone gunfighter with his mask on. This lead to the question of whether the fans will get to see Pascal’s face on the show.

Sources close to the production told Making Star Wars that the fans will not get to see the lead character’s face in the first season. The producers may be doing this to create a mystery around the character, but since they have cast a known actor like Pascal for the show, the fans may get to see the actor’s face at some point in the future. The face reveal may be saved for a major moment on the show.

Even when the filming of “The Mandalorian” was ongoing, Pascal was always seen with the mask on when he was filming his scenes. Apart from keeping his face a mystery, the show has so far also not revealed the character’s name.

The costume of the character also has a back-story. According to a previous leak by Making Star Wars, there is a secret enclave that Pascal’s character is affiliated with. It is here that he gets his armor upgrades from a female armorer.

The primary antagonist of the gunslinger is expected to be the assassin droid IG-11. Taika Waititi has leant his voice to this droid character, Making Star Wars reported.

A trailer of “The Mandalorian” is expected to be released at the D23 event this weekend. The show is expected to premiere at the Disney+ streaming service in November.
