Mandy Moore Shares Thoughts About ‘Cool’ L.A. Moms: 'I've Made Wonderful Friends'
Mandy Moore is grateful for the cool moms of Los Angeles who help her navigate life as a mother.
The “This Is Us” star’s inner circle includes celebrities such as Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, Ashley Tisdale and a host of other mothers in L.A.
"Hilary is the coolest and she is a super-mom. She and Matt (Matthew Koma, Duff’s husband) have become really close friends with my husband and I. But they have a kid who's six weeks younger than Gus. And so, we had babies at the same time and she, being the super-mom that she is, formed a cool mom club," the 38-year-old “Candy” singer said in an interview with InStyle.
Moore welcomed her son August or Gus with husband Taylor Goldsmith in February. Since then, she said she and her mom friends have dinners together and bond during baby classes.
"Somehow, I got invited into it and it's the best,” she said. “I've made so many wonderful friends. We all just gathered earlier this week and had dinner and we have baby classes together and it's incredible.”
Moore added, “It's so much fun. I'm very, very grateful to have those resources and just incredible women to be able to lean on. We're all kind of going through this chapter of our lives together."
Duff shares three children with her husband, Matt: Luca, 10, Banks, 3, and 1-year-old Mae. Trainor is a new mom to 1-year-old Riley with husband Daryl Sabara, while Tisdale is mother to 1-year-old Jupiter, whom she shares with husband Christopher French.
Moore’s “This Is Us” wrapped up Tuesday after six seasons and showed a memorial service for her character Rebecca Pearson as the latter joined her husband Jack on a train going to the great beyond.
The “Walk Me Home” singer told ET that she plans to take a break from acting to focus on her son.
"I was pregnant with Gus all throughout the fifth season and then I went back to work when he was a month old. So, I'm excited to be a mom for a minute, then figure out what I wanna do after that," she said.
