Mariah Carey Divorcing Nick Cannon? Couple Sells Mansion They Share Together
Pop singer Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are sparking divorce rumors again after they placed their 11,750-square-foot Bel Air mansion on the market for $12.9 million. That's more than $5 million over what they paid for it in 2009. So is the next step divorce?
Carey, 43, and Cannon, 33, have previously denied that their marriage is in trouble. The couple began secretly dating in 2008 before making their relationship public. They wed within two months of their first date and have renewed their vows every year. Their Los Angeles-area mansion, where they live with their young twins, Monroe and Moroccan, features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a theater, a music room, a basketball court and a swimming pool.
The couple seemed to have the perfect relationship, but the National Enquirer claimed in its October issue that Carey had stopped wearing her wedding ring and had been getting a little too close to some young men in the music industry.
“All this cavorting around with handsome men has Nick seeing red,” a source said. “He’s about at the end of his rope with Mariah.”
At the same time, Carey is also believed to be concerned about Cannon’s wandering eye, especially since his MTV show “Wild 'N Out” has a staff of gorgeous women.
If they do break up, this wouldn't be the first time a seemingly happy Hollywood couple has split. Heidi Klum and Seal, who also renewed their vows annually, shocked fans in 2012 when they announced the end of their seven-year marriage.
