“Spider-Man: Homecoming” ended with a shocked Aunt May seeing Peter in his Spider-Man suit. Although the surprise may have elicited a certain swear word, May will be over it by the time “Spider-Man: Far From Home” kicks off.

While at the Tony Awards, Aunt May actress Marisa Tomei was asked how things will change now that May is in on Spider-Man’s secret. Tomei said that she’s as supportive as ever.

“I think they were always in it together anyway,” Tomei told Entertainment Tonight. “I think in a certain way she’s more protective of him, but also very, very proud of him. And also aligned with his mission.”

That lines up with what fans saw in the first “Far From Home” trailer. While Peter (Tom Holland) seems dedicated to the idea of taking a vacation, Aunt May makes sure to add his Spidey suit to his luggage.

At least Tomei can still remember all the Marvel movies she has been in. Gwyneth Paltrow, who has been with the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it started in 2008, made headlines over the weekend for completely forgetting she made a cameo in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

Paltrow appeared on “The Chef Show,” a new Netflix program hosted by chef Roy Choi and Happy Hogan actor Jon Favreau. The latter explains that they started the cooking show when they filmed “Spider-Man,” and that’s when the Pepper Potts actress seems confused.

“Well, yeah, we were in ‘Spider-Man’ together. Remember when we were in ‘Spider-Man’?” Favreau, who directed the first “Iron Man,” asks.

“We weren’t in Spider-Man,’” Paltrow says with confidence.

Favreau has to actually convince her that she was in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” He reminds her of the particular scene, which was when Pepper was about to give a press conference. “That was ‘Spider-Man’?” she asks. “Oh my god!”

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” hits theaters July 2.
