"Desperate Houswives" actress Eva Longoria, 37, confirmed on NBC's "Extra" Thursday that she and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez are happy just "dating".

The two have been linked as an item for quite some time, and "Extra" host Mario Lopez was able to finagle an answer from Longoria.

Sanchez, 25, who is a former USC standout and top Jets draft pick, has been rumored to date such high profile models as Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton, and even former 'Sopranos' star Jamie Lynn-Sigler.

Longoria has long been admired for her gorgeous looks and now it appears she still has a thing for athletes. Last year, she finalized her divorce from San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker.
