Marla Maples Never Considered Herself Trump’s Mistress; POTUS’ Ex-Wife Didn’t Want To Hurt Ivana

Donald Trump was still married to Ivana Trump when he met his second wife, Marla Maples.

As such, the former actress was labeled as one of the POTUS’s mistresses. However, Maples never considered herself as one even though she and the president had an affair while he was still married.

During her interview on the podcast “Journeys of Faith With Paula Faris,” Maples explained why she was convinced that what she and the POTUS had was not wrong.

“It was two people that came together that truly loved each other in a period of time. I wanted him to see how loved he could be for his soul not for his money,” she said.

According to Maples, she used to pray for her relationship with Trump especially since they went through a lot of breakups and makeups at that time. Tiffany Trump’s mom also said that it was never her intention to destroy another couple’s relationship or to hurt Ivana Trump.

“My intention was never to bring hurt. Do I wish more than anything that we could have had this relationship after his other divorce papers were signed? Absolutely. But it didn't happen that way, and if you really trust in life, you have trust in the path that it does take you,” Maples said.

Meanwhile, Maples and the POTUS’s marriage was short-lived. According to Vanity Fair, one of the possible reasons why Trump decided to call it quits was because of a story about Maples allegedly having an affair with a hunk.

Even though the National Enquirer’s shocking allegations against Maples weren’t proven, it only took Trump a few more weeks before he announced that he was divorcing his second wife.

However, Trump treated his divorce from Maples more privately than his split from his first wife, Ivana. Maples was also agreed to an extreme confidentiality agreement wherein she couldn’t publish any diary, letter, memoir, story, photograph, essay, article, and more about her ex-husband.
