‘Marvel vs Capcom 4’ Teased By Marvel’s New ‘G4mes’ Logo?
Marvel Games recently changed their logo, replacing the "a" in Games with the number "4." Now reading as Marvel G4mes, many players are speculating on a possible "Marvel vs Capcom 4" return or another game that’s related to the number four. Here’s what we know so far about this.
According to a report from GameSpot, the official Marvel Games logo has been recently changed to Marvel G4mes. Many fans speculate that this could be foreshadowing an upcoming game with a "4" in the title. It’s highly possible that this could be the "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" that many fans of the series want to come out soon.
Regarding the latest status of "Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite," its developer, Capcom, has dropped support for it both for content and its competitive eSports scene. While most of its content is still available for purchase, there won’t be anything new coming for the game anytime soon. This move was done in response to the general dislike of the entry by most of its players. Potentially, a new "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" would be released to help the series bounce back, not only in general popularity, but also in its previous premier fighting game status in the past few years.
Other than a "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" reveal, many fans are also considering other games in line with this possible tease. It’s highly possible that it could be a new "Fantastic Four" game. With the success of the Insomniac Games’ "Spider-Man" on the PS4, Marvel now has a strong footing in making open-world games or even games that mostly feature their superhero characters.
Speaking of other Marvel superhero games, it could also be a teaser for the Switch-exclusive "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order."
Lastly, it could also be the Marvel and Square Enix partnership game about the "Avengers." Back in 2017, "The Avengers Project" game was announced, but no new updates, trailers or even major leaks have come out regarding it. With the upcoming release of the fourth "Avengers" movie, it could be possible that the "Avengers Project" will follow the events of the cinematic universe too.
For now we can only wait for more updates if we’ll see "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" bounce back into the competition or a whole new Marvel game to enjoy in 2019.
