Maryland Grandma, Theresa Sayles, Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Teacher's Wallet During School Assembly [MUG SHOT]
A Maryland grandma was charged with theft after she allegedly stole a teacher’s wallet Tuesday during an assembly at Marley Elementary School.
Theresa Yvonne Sayles, 49, allegedly swiped the wallet from a classroom around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to MyFoxDC. Sayles, a grandmother of a Marley Elementary student, was a chaperone at the school and was supposed to be in the cafeteria at the time of the theft. The teacher whose wallet was stolen allegedly saw Sayles rummaging through the wallet and holding it.
Sayles was charged with theft under $100 and disturbing school activities, according to a police report from the Anne Arundel County Police Department obtained by the Smoking Gun. Sayles was told she was no longer allowed on school property.
Sayles has a criminal history that includes charges of disorderly conduct, burglary and concealing a deadly weapon, according to CBS DC.
