Meet The ‘All Rise’ Cast Before Its CBS Series Premiere
Quiet, court is in session! Well, it will be, at least, when CBS’ new ensemble legal drama, “All Rise,” premieres Monday night.
Created by Greg Spottiswood, the new series “is a courthouse drama that follows the chaotic, hopeful and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal process,” according to the official NBC synopsis.
Before meeting all of the characters during tonight’s “All Rise” series premiere, get to know all of the actors making up the show’s cast:
Simone Missick (Lola Carmichael)
Most recently, Missick lit up Netflix’s Marvel universe as Misty Knight on “The Defenders,” “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist.” She also starred as Marianna Reynolds in a couple of Season 1 episodes of CBS All Access’ “Tell Me a Story.”
Wilson Bethel (Mark Callan)
After three years on the CBS soap opera, “The Young and the Restless,” as Ryder Callahan, Bethel went on to star as Wade Kinsella, opposite Rachel Bilson, on The CW’s much-loved, small-town drama, “Hart of Dixie,” for four seasons. Most recently, he worked on shows like “The Astronaut Wives Club,” “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Daredevil.”
Jessica Camacho (Emily Lopez)
Aside from her role in 2012’s “Think Like a Man” and on ABC’s short-lived “Last Resort,” Camacho is best known for portraying the role of Gypsy on The CW’s “The Flash,” as well as for her work on “Taken,” “Sleepy Hollow” and “Another Life.”
J. Alex Brinson (Luke Watkins)
Fans of sci-fi and fantasy might recognize Brinson from his role as Jeff Conniker on Netflix’s three-season series, “Travelers.” He also guest-starred in episodes of “Supernatural,” “iZombie” and “The X-Files.”
Ruthie Ann Miles (Sherri Kansky)
On the TV front, Miles had an arc on “The Americans” in 2016 as Young Hee Seong, but offscreen, she’s also an accomplished Broadway actress. She won a Tony Award in 2015 in the Best Featured Actress in a Musical category for her work with “The King and I.”
Lindsay Mendez (Sara Castillo)
Like Miles, Mendez is also a Tony Award-winning actress. She picked up an award last year, in the same category as Miles did, for her work in “Carousel.” Recently, she also guest-starred in episodes of “Modern Family” and “Elementary.”
Marg Helgenberger (Lisa Benner)
The “Ryan’s Hope” and “China Beach” alum is likely best known for her role as Catherine Willows on CBS’ long-running “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.” After departing the series in 2013, she went on to act on shows like “Intelligence” and “Under the Dome.”
“All Rise” premieres on CBS on Monday at 9 p.m. EDT.
