As is the custom with “The Amazing Race,” the premiere will introduce 11 teams with different respective pairings (such as a mother and son, siblings, best friends, etc.), after that they’ll race the other two-person teams on a wild ride to some of the most incredible places on planet earth. To help make sure fans are ahead of the curve before the premiere, below is a rundown of all 11 teams joining “The Amazing Race” Season 27 for a chance to win the $1 million grand prize.
Alex And Adam
Alex Manard, 22 and Adam Dingeman, 24 -- This team of cousins from Illinois and Iowa respectively are eager to explore the world together, experience different cultures and see some of the globe’s wonders. However, in their official cast bio they both mention a particular fear of getting completely lost while on the journey together.
Cindy And Rick
Cindy Chac, 36 and Rick Chac, 38 -- This married couple from San Diego says they’re both hoping to run the race in order to learn more about each other during the early days of their marriage. With both having successful careers, her as a Dentist and he as an OB/GYN, they’re ready to see if they can continue that success in their private life together.

Ernest And Jin
Ernest Phillip, 29 and Jin Lao, 26 -- This pairing of brothers, from Vermont and Massachusetts respectively, are a bit of an odd couple. While Jin is a student working as a stock boy to put himself through school, his brother is a self described “hustler” who is hoping his street smarts will help him get the edge over the competition.
Jazmine And Danielle
Jazmine Lewis, 23 and Danielle Littleton, 23 -- These best friends from California are hoping to take their friendship to the next level and put their perceived sisterhood to the test. However, with both girls describing themselves as Kim Kardashian-like, odds are good that getting along won’t always be a cinch for them as they navigate the long road to the finish line.
Justin And Diana
Justin Scheman, 39 and Diana Bishop, 30 -- This couple is spending their engagement traveling the world together in the competition-style reality show. He is an accomplished morning radio host from New York City while she is a school teacher from Pennsylvania. Together they’ll see if their engagement can stand up to the competition, which should be difficult given that they both admit to having communication problems with the other.
Kelly And Shevonne
Kelly Berning, 37 and Shevonne Sullivan, 31 -- These best friends and TMZ co-workers from Los Angeles are hoping to use their skills streamlining content for work to make them fast and efficient travelers. Similar to the previous pairing, they also work as TV news reporters from California. Together they’ll use the competition as a litmus test for the future of their relationship together.
Logan And Chris
Logan Fazio, 36 and Chris Gordon, 46 -- Another business/dating relationship running the race this year are Logan and Chris. The Miami, Fla. couple has been dating for a while and are hoping to use the competition to determine if they have what it takes to move on to marriage. However, with both of them preferring the alpha role, odds are good their large personalities will clash at some point.
Tanner And Josh
Tanner Kloven, 26 and Josh Ahem, 28 -- These best friends, and Texas natives, are hoping to bring their unique brand of fun and brains to the race in order to prove that they have what it takes to master the world together. However, they might run into trouble thanks to Tanner’s fear of flying and Josh’s inability to speak foreign languages.
Tiffany And Krista
Tiffany Chantell Torres, 28 and Krista DeBono -- These two professional cheerleaders, from New York and New Jersey respectively, are hoping to prove that they’ve got what it takes to navigate more than just the perfect routine.
