Meghan Markle ‘Bigger Hit’ On Instagram Than Kate Middleton; Duchess’ Photos Worth Millions
Meghan Markle just joined Instagram alongside Prince Harry recently. Kate Middleton has been on the social media platform with Prince William for years.
But according to the research conducted by the London Institute of Photography (LIOP), the Duchess of Sussex is more popular than the Duchess of Cambridge on Instagram.
This year, 281 photos of Prince Harry’s wife posted by fashion magazines on Instagram generated $1.6 million worth of coverage. Middleton’s 161 photos, on the other hand, generated almost $700,000 worth of coverage.
Markle is also featured in eight of the top 10 most-liked photos on social media. Middleton, on the other hand, is only featured in two photos.
One of Markle’s top posts was a photo of her when she first stepped out in public after giving birth to her son, Archie. In the snap, the 38-year-old royal is wearing a white shirt frock by British designer Grace Wales Bonner.
Markle’s other top outfits include the bright blue Veronica Beard shirt dress that she wore in South Africa. Markle’s white christening outfit in July was also a big hit on Instagram.
Middleton’s favorite fashion photos include the white Alexander McQueen dress that she wore to the BAFTAs. Royal fans also loved the Duchess of Cambridge’s attire at the Royal Ascot.
Meanwhile, the two Duchesses were also linked to each other last month after Express wondered if Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud actually started with their wives.
Last year, rumors swirled that Markle and Middleton got into a fight during Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaids dress fitting. However, this has already been debunked by the palace.
Shortly after, Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to split from Prince William and Middleton. Royal experts were convinced that this was because the royal couples were feuding with each other.
But a source told Daily Mail royal expert Rebeca English said that this isn’t the case. For one, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Kensington Palace because there was not enough space there and not because of their feud.
