Meghan Markle Can’t Settle For ‘Arcane British World’ For This Reason
Meghan Markle cannot settle for the arcane world of the British family, claims a royal expert.
Penny Junor told Sky News said that the Duchess of Sussex is used to being a competitive world when she was still working as an actress. But when she got engaged to Prince Harry, everything changed. The expert said that Markle may have not been fully aware of how the royal family operated.
Junor said that she also thinks life has become very hard for the “Suits” alum. Reports about Markle’s outrageous demands and being called “Difficult Duchess” may also be true.
“And she is clearly used to being her own woman, operating at her own hours and behaving the way she’s used to get on in a very, very competitive world. And she’s now not in that competitive world, she’s in an extraordinary arcane and unusual world now,” she said.
Junor’s comments about Markle and all of the negative reports around her in the media came after Thomas Markle Sr. gave an interview on “Good Morning Britain.” While speaking with Piers Morgan, the former lighting director revealed that he has not spoken to his daughter in months.
Thomas also said that he sends Markle text messages every day, but has never received a response. Despite Markle’s silence, Thomas is still hopeful that they could patch things up especially after she gives birth to her first child in the Spring of 2019.
The last time that Markle spoke with Thomas was before her May 19 wedding to Prince Harry. The royal couple initially invited the 74-year-old to attend the nuptials and walk Markle down the aisle, but he was unable to make it. Thomas revealed that he suffered from a heart attack and underwent surgery in the days leading up to the royal event.
In related news, Markle won’t also be reuniting with her mom, Doria Ragland, anytime soon. According to People, the yoga instructor won’t celebrate Christmas in Sandringham with Queen Elizabeth II and the other members of the royal family.
However, it is still unclear whether or not reports that Her Majesty invited Ragland to attend are accurate.
