Meghan Markle recently channeled Princess Diana by wearing a belt to Prince Harry’s polo match on Thursday.

While at the event, the Duchess of Sussex was photographed in her blue denim J. Crew low-cut dress. Markle’s slim figure was highlighted by the huge belt she also wore to the match.

According to E! News, the 36-year-old former actress paid tribute to Prince Harry’s mom by copying her style from the 1980s. In those years, Princess Diana was typically seen wearing belts of different colors and sizes. Fashion forward women between 1940 and 1980 also wore this type of accessory.

In related news, Markle didn’t just remind royal fans of Princess Diana by wearing her denim belt to her husband’s polo match. The “Suits” alum also paid tribute to the late princess when she kissed Prince Harry on the lips.

After Prince Harry’s team won the match with a score of 5 to 4, Markle approached him and gave him a smooch. Before her death, Princess Diana typically attended Prince Charles’ polo match. According to People, the Prince and Princess of Wales even kissed in public twice to celebrate the prince’s win.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle won’t be doing any public engagements next month. The royal couple is already on their vacation. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Prince Harry will be staying in London throughout August, but Markle is expected to return to the United States to visit her family and friends.

Next year, Prince Harry will join Markle during their official tour of the U.S. But this summer, the Duke of Sussex won’t be with his wife because Markle will only stay in Los Angeles and New York for a few days. After their break, Prince Harry and Markle will prepare for their upcoming trip to Australia for the Invictus Games.
