Meghan Markle Dubbed ‘American Princess,’ Cradles Baby Bump In Unearthed Photos
Meghan Markle was recently dubbed as an “American Princess,” and photos of her while still heavily pregnant with Archie have just been released.
The snaps were shared by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to promote Markle’s latest initiative with an organization called SmartWorks. The “Suits” alum will be designing a capsule collection of more classic options for a workwear wardrobe.
Markle also teamed up with Marks & Spencer, Jigsaw, John Lewis & Partners, and her good friend, Misha Nonoo. In her article for British Vogue, Markle announced that her collection will be released next month.
Meanwhile, one of the Duchess of Sussex’s snaps shows her cradling her growing baby bump while talking to one of the women from SmartWorks. Based on the size of her bump, it seems that Markle was already in her third trimester when she visited the charity.
A second photo shows Markle with her hair tied in a messy bun sitting beside another woman. She is participating in a round table discussion while wearing a black Chinese collared blouse. Markle’s hand is also carefully placed on her baby bump in the snap.
In related news, Markle also made headlines this week after it was announced that she guest-edited Vogue’s September issue. Instead of appearing on the cover of the publication like Princess Diana and Kate Middleton, Markle thought of doing something else.
Prince Harry’s wife had the opportunity to interview former First Lady Michelle Obama for the issue. After the interview was released, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams described the conversation as provocative and unusual. But he also said that Markle didn’t breach protocol.
“The article has absolutely everything Meghan wanted. We know she admires Michelle and Barack Obama, there are admiration and affection between them. But Meghan, in writing this interview focused on these themes, didn’t cross any boundaries… The theme of the Q&A was motherhood, its content was provocative and unusual but also constructive, no rules have been broken,” he told Express.
