Prince Charles just removed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the Clarence House website, and the reason behind his decision has been revealed.

Months ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s names were featured on the website under the current vacancy page. The official website was used by the royal couple to advertise new openings and positions.

But this week, Express reported that Markle and Prince Harry are no longer included in the future King’s website. Prince Charles shares Clarence House with his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles.

The publication claimed that the deletion may have been due to Prince Harry and Markle’s recent split from Prince Charles’ household. Weeks ago, it was announced that the royal couple will operate independently from the other members of the royal family.

This means that Prince Harry and Markle will not also be under Prince William and Kate Middleton’s household at the Kensington Palace. The new parents will be operating from the Buckingham Palace, where they will be close to Queen Elizabeth II.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s PR team will also be based in the Buckingham Palace, and they will be overseen by the 93-year-old monarch.

“The Queen has given her permission for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to base their household office at Buckingham Palace. Their Royal Highnesses will appoint new communications staff, who will form part of the Buckingham Palace communications team and report to the Queen’s Communications Secretary, Donald McCabe,” a royal source said.

And while Prince Harry and Markle’s office is not yet in place, Kensington Palace will continue to support their endeavors. Reports of the royal couple’s split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first came to light amid rumors that they are feuding with each other.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams dubbed the split as curious and said that since the situation is still developing, it is still unclear what the move really means.
