Meghan Markle Ends Maternity Leave For This Epic Reason
Meghan Markle has had quite the maternity leave -- if you could even call it that.
Despite being a new mom, the Duchess of Sussex has remained busy. During the few months following the birth of Archie Harrison, she guest-edited British Vogue, created a capsule collection, and attended the "Lion King" premiere.
A palace aide gave Bazaar.com a little insight into Meghan's intentions for the time. Aside from spending time caring for her baby boy, she was "using this period to catch up with those involved in her patronage-related endeavors."
Now, Meghan is officially -- well, technically -- ending her maternity leave and getting back to work starting with the launch of her capsule collection.
The former "Suits" actress will head a public engagement in London on Sept. 12 to launch the collection which benefits one of her royal patronages, Smart Works.
Per their website, "Smart Works is a UK charity that provides high-quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need."
Markle revealed during her takeover of the Sept. Vogue issue that for each item purchased from the collection, one will be donated to charity, according to Hello.
The 38-year-old collaborated with designer Misha Nonoo and British brands Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners, and Jigsaw to create the collection. So it's safe to say that Meghan is returning to duty in style.
